It is above all the ability to use a uniform actuator for their entire range of machines that makes machine builders so enthusiastic about the new NT door actuator from SERVAX. Compact drive motors are available with torque levels of 4, 10, 14, 25 and 35 Nm in a gear-free direct drive solution, i.e. for lightweight functions such as operating valves on a machine tool magazine, right up to operating heavy machine doors on major machining centres.

The DoorManager operator software included as standard allows the drive parameters to be set for the most diverse of machine types, whether an application for manual loading or loading robots, for doors with a single leaf or double doors, horizontal or vertical, for short or long strokes – there are no limits. The connection of the drive to the machine control system (PLC) is via digital signals or PROFIBUS. All adjustment options and sample circuit diagrams are described in detail in the system manual.

And the SERVAX door actuator can also meet the most diverse of safety requirements. These include a mechanically actuated safety brake which ensures «safe shutdown» even in the event of power failure.
